New York City

  • I never eat McDonald’s after midnight because they don’t serve Filet-O-Fish.
  • I have a kayak at home but no car to carry it.
  • As a world traveler, I’ve been to 23 countries.

Jingtong Yan is a New York-based illustrator and art educator. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a major in Illustration. During her studies, she focused on comics and books, using storytelling as a key tool to express personal voices and communicate with society. In her work, she combines traditional materials with digital techniques, preserving the unique textures of traditional methods while making books reproducible. Her exploration of 3D multimedia and pop-up books extends into her classroom, where she engages students from early childhood to high school, encouraging them to experiment with different media and express themselves through art.
