Class Description

In this creative class, students will explore the art of photography using the camera they already carry every day- their phone! With a focus on framing, lighting, and composition, students will learn how to capture the essence of their subject and bring their artistic vision to life. As young photographers, they’ll practice storytelling through images, seeking out the curious, beautiful, and unexpected moments that life has to offer- whether in New York City or their own neighborhoods. Each student will have the chance to put their personal stamp on the world, creating a portfolio of photos that reflect their unique perspective. Please note: Students must bring an iPhone or similar smartphone with a functioning camera.
