Class Description

Calling all future app designers! In this hands-on coding class, students will create their very own apps for mobile and tablet devices. Using a beginner-friendly drag-and-drop interface, similar to Scratch, students will learn how to design a graphical user interface (GUI), place buttons and text, and navigate across multiple screens to bring their ideas to life. Projects may include building a working calculator, designing an emoji generator, or coding a challenging color sleuth game- apps that students can play and share with pride. Along the way, they’ll strengthen problem-solving, logical thinking, and digital design skills while experiencing the thrill of seeing their creations in action. Please note: Each student will need access to a computer.
