Class Description

Discover the art of printmaking in this hands-on creative class! Students will explore relief printing, a process where ink is applied to a raised surface and transferred onto paper, fabric, or other flat materials. Using traditional techniques, they’ll experiment with Collagraphs- building textured printing plates from found materials- and Linocuts, where designs are carved into linoleum for bold, graphic prints with striking lines and shapes. Throughout the course, students will experiment with textures, colors, and layering to create unique works of art. By the end, each young artist will have a collection of original prints and the skills to continue exploring this timeless art form. Please note: This class requires printmaking supplies including brayers, ink, and printing surfaces. A materials fee will be included.
