Class Description
This unique STEM program combines art, design, and problem-solving to help students see paper in an entirely new way. Blending creativity with logic, students will learn to think in 3D while exploring a variety of paper-based techniques and traditions. Projects may include paper sculpture, pop-up cards and books, origami, kusudama, quilling, and 3D appliqué. Along the way, students will develop fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and artistic confidence while learning about the history and applications of paper engineering. This course is especially valuable for future architects, designers, and engineers- or anyone who enjoys turning simple materials into extraordinary creations. Please note: A materials fee will be included.
