Discover how art can be a powerful tool for change in this inspiring visual arts course. Students will learn about important activists and social justice movements, past and present, and see how stories, symbols, and slogans have shaped history. Each class combines discussion with hands-on artmaking, as students experiment with new tools, mediums, and techniques to create bold works that carry meaningful messages. In a safe and supportive environment, students will be encouraged to express themselves, explore big ideas, and use their creativity as a voice for positive change. Please note: A materials fee will be included.
