Course By
Coral P.

Class Description
Join us as we explore this magical medium and create kooky keychains, beautiful bookmarks, pretty planters, jazzy jewelry, sparkly suncatchers, and more! Each project introduces new techniques while leaving plenty of room for imagination and creativity. This class is full of sensory fun and artistic exploration. Polymer clay is like “grown-up play-dough”- incredibly versatile and super fun to use. Students will discover how this medium can be molded, shaped, and transformed into both practical items and whimsical works of art. It’s a wonderful way to bring silly, playful, and imaginative ideas to life, and every student will leave with unique creations they can feel proud of. Please note: A materials fee will be included.

One of my favorite things about teaching kids theatre is that it allows me to stay in touch with the sense of play and joy that comes so naturally to those wonderful little humans. Seeing the confidence and creativity that develops from this collaborative art form inspires me every single day, and I've dedicated the last eight years of my life to cultivating those values in the mini humans that often prove to be just as much teachers as learners. I graduated with an MA in Educational Theatre from Adelphi University in 2021 and a Theatre BA from the University of Southern California in 2016, where I founded an a cappella group as well as a weekly theatre program with neighboring public elementary schools. In 2015, I produced the 30th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts at Paramount Studios, where I integrated a theatrical element to a festival that had prior been predominantly based in the fine arts. Since then, I've taught theatre with Acting Adventures, the Fox Studios Child Development Center, Troy Camp, and Brooklyn Acting Lab. I'm passionate about traveling, finding moments to dance with reckless abandon, and the importance of letting the inner child lead in rediscovering the little joys in everyday life. I'm incredibly excited to have joined the Togetherhood family, and look forward to creating magic together!
