Class Description

In this crafty and eco-friendly class, students will discover how everyday “junk” can be transformed into meaningful works of art. Using materials like paper scraps, plastics, stickers, and found objects, students will explore the creative process of junk journaling- designing pages that combine visual art with personal storytelling. Each session begins with a brainstorm around a theme, which students then bring to life through collage, mixed media, and writing. Poetry, reflections, and creative ideas are encouraged as students expand their journals into unique, multimedia art pieces. This course nurtures imagination, self-expression, and sustainability by showing how discarded items can be upcycled into something beautiful. Please note: A materials fee will be included.
