Hello! My name is Molly Mitchell and I have been an after-school activities teacher for the last year, but an artist since birth. I have attended Emerson College for Theater Performance and Education, Berklee College of Music for Music Production and Songwriting, and now Arizona State University for Psychology. I believe that the arts open up a mind and allow for self-awareness and reflection that foster a confident and unique persona in an age that prides comparison and conformity. I love creating space for kids to discover what art forms speak to them most. Encouraging trial and error, children can learn that failure is vital to the learning process and not something to be feared, rather something to be curious about. Educating on not just the different forms of art, but the reasons they came to be, and the stories of the pioneers in each form, informs of the innate humanity of art, which in turn makes it more accessible. I truly believe everyone benefits from creative expression. It is the only way we can speak of our soul and project our inner world outside of us in a productive and healthy manner.
