Class Description

Step into the studio and learn how music is made! In this hands-on course, students will explore the fundamentals of music production, including song structure, mixing, processing, and programming. Each class blends technical skill-building with creativity, giving students the tools to bring their musical ideas to life using GarageBand, Soundtrap for Education, or other DOE-approved music production software. The program culminates in a final project where every student creates their own original track. By the end of the course, students will have a solid introduction to music production and the confidence to keep experimenting with sound. Please note: This class requires access to computers or tablets capable of running DOE-approved music production software. A materials fee will be included.
