Class Description
Shine on stage with Shooting Stars! This class is designed as a stepping stone toward full-scale musical productions, offering a more rigorous and rewarding musical theatre experience. Students will develop their skills in acting, singing, and choreography while working in a structured, supportive environment that encourages growth and confidence. Throughout the course, young performers will build technique, strengthen their stage presence, and learn the value of working as part of an ensemble. The experience culminates in a final showcase performance for families, where every student gets the chance to step into the spotlight.

One of my favorite things about teaching kids theatre is that it allows me to stay in touch with the sense of play and joy that comes so naturally to those wonderful little humans. Seeing the confidence and creativity that develops from this collaborative art form inspires me every single day, and I've dedicated the last eight years of my life to cultivating those values in the mini humans that often prove to be just as much teachers as learners. I graduated with an MA in Educational Theatre from Adelphi University in 2021 and a Theatre BA from the University of Southern California in 2016, where I founded an a cappella group as well as a weekly theatre program with neighboring public elementary schools. In 2015, I produced the 30th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts at Paramount Studios, where I integrated a theatrical element to a festival that had prior been predominantly based in the fine arts. Since then, I've taught theatre with Acting Adventures, the Fox Studios Child Development Center, Troy Camp, and Brooklyn Acting Lab. I'm passionate about traveling, finding moments to dance with reckless abandon, and the importance of letting the inner child lead in rediscovering the little joys in everyday life. I'm incredibly excited to have joined the Togetherhood family, and look forward to creating magic together!
