Inspiring Young Minds Through Creative Expression Musical Theater Instructor | Arts Educator | Creative Mentor Welcome! I am thrilled to join the Togetherhood team. To me, the arts are more than performing on stage. They are a powerful tool for kids to find their voice, build confidence, and connect with the world around them. My teaching is rooted in over 15 years of professional stage experience. I toured nationally with The Tina Turner Musical, starred Off Broadway in The Hula Hoop Queen at New York City Children's Theater, and performed with regional companies like Asolo Repertory Theatre and Stages St. Louis. I love bringing that real world stage energy into the classroom. I have taught students from preschool through 12th grade, with a focus on elementary and middle school ages. During my time with The Leadership Program, I created theater integration activities that helped kids build reading comprehension by acting out stories. That role also included work in violence prevention and youth leadership, showing me how the arts help children grow socially and emotionally. I also bring a hands on, interdisciplinary background to Togetherhood. Beyond theater, I have managed community gardening and cooking programs, using creative activities to teach science and social studies concepts. Whether guiding kids through acting, nature projects, or visual arts, I enjoy helping them explore new ideas. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Journalism and Media Innovation at Emerson College, focusing on arts and culture to keep my approach to storytelling fresh and engaging. At Togetherhood, my goal is to build a warm, encouraging space where every child feels comfortable singing, acting, and expressing themselves. I look forward to inspiring our students!
