• I am one of a very small group of athletes who can boast multiple four-goal games (soccer) and multiple double-doubles (basketball) at the collegiate level! I have dedicated thousands of hours to each sport, as both player and coach, and consider a blessing to pass that knowledge on younger generations of aspiring athletes.
• I won my first poetry contest in elementary school, and have not stopped writing since! I feel it important for young scholars to find their voice and comfort while writing at a young age, so that they can build and demonstrate writing skills rather than just keep up with assigments
• I learned Chess in the second grade, and believe it has been a cornerstone to my strategies in life ever since. The game teaches the importance of patience, preparation, and planning, and provides framework for many of life's challenges.

Hello! As a long-time educator, tutor, and athletics coach, I am pleased to join the Togetherhood network of instructors. As a former collegiate soccer and basketball player, i began my work with kids as a coach, and have had the honor of coaching thousands of kids and young adults in both sports. I have also worked extensively with Arlington County Public Schools as a substitute teacher, and have previously taught several after-school chess courses. As a classically trained journalist and experimental performance poet, i am admittedly a "word nerd," who loves helping students improve vocabulary, sentence structure, and storytelling abilities. I look forward to crafting and executing excellent lesson plans for your students!!
