Class Description

After reading a beloved book, children will create a puppet inspired by the characters and themes within the book. To bring the story to life, children will be encouraged to act out scenes from the book using their new puppet! Book options include but are not limited to: - "The Lorax" by Dr Seuss with handmade Lorax puppets and Bar-ba-loot treats - "Frederick" by Leo Lionni with handmade mouse shadow puppets and a "taste the colors" treats - "The Gift of the Sacred Dog" by Paul Goble with articulated horse puppets and rice-krispie "jay bale" treats - "Paddington" by Michael Bond with Paddington puppets and button cookies - Any book with themes that match your community's interests and needs.
