I have coached chess classes and individual students of all ages in NYC for over 8 years. I grew up in Chicago where I started competing in tournaments and eventually achieving the National Master title. After receiving my B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University, and my M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana, I moved to Geneva, Switzerland for 3 years. Shortly after returning to the US, I earned the FIDE Master title. I have a son and a daughter in high school who compete in chess tournaments. Both have made the US top 100 ratings lists for their age group.
