Hello! I’m Renee Prioleau, a professional Nutritionist and Jewelry Designer with 20 years of experience and a passion for helping youth and adults live healthier, more creative, and fulfilling lives. My work brings together two areas I love most, cooking and creativity! I truly enjoy teaching the importance of healthy eating, culinary activities and creating beautiful jewelry that inspires self expression. As a Nutrition Educator and Culinary Instructor, my teaching style is to make healthy eating and cooking approachable, enjoyable, and practical. I believe nutrition education should empower youth to make informed choices without feeling overwhelmed or restricted. I especially enjoy sharing creative ways to create nutritious foods into everyday life and helping youth discover that healthy eating and cooking can be delicious and fun! As a Jewelry Designer, I love to teach the process of transforming components into jewelry that tells a story and allows the wearer to both explore and express their creativity, personality and style. Before teaching, I worked in the government and nonprofit sector in the areas of child nutrition research, policy, and programs. When I’m not developing nutrition programs or designing jewelry, you’ll find me exploring new creative ideas, spending time with family, cooking, traveling, and discovering inspiration in everyday life. Youth development is the heart of what I do. I have 15 years of experience in the youth development field, creating and teaching nutrition education, cooking and jewelry design classes for young people. I truly enjoy the opportunity to teach, inspire, and encourage youth—whether through nutrition education, creative activities, or jewelry making. I believe that creativity and healthy living can work beautifully together. My goal is to inspire the youth to embrace both!
