Hello! My name is Sophia Souran. I have been teaching a variety of classes for almost a decade, and I especially enjoy bringing out the creative side of everyone who comes into my classroom. I have degrees in both Graphic Design and Fine Art, along with years of experience teaching Art, Color Guard, and Dance to children and people of all ages. I truly believe that anyone can make art and be creative. We’re all born with an instinct to imagine, explore, and make things, and I want my classroom to be a place where students feel comfortable doing exactly that. I relate to Bob Ross in this sentiment, as I grew up watching him when I first began discovering my love for art, and his philosophy continues to inspire the way I teach. I look forward to working with diverse groups of students, and helping them grow in confidence through creativity and play! Most importantly, I want my classroom to be a safe space for kids to discover themselves, explore, and have a great time while doing it!
