Philip Galinsky, Professional Actor, Voice Actor & Teaching Artist Hi, I’m Philip Galinsky, a professional actor, voice actor, producer, podcaster, and teaching artist with decades of experience in the entertainment industry. My credits include Law & Order: SVU, Dora the Explorer, Grand Theft Auto 5 & 6, Sponge Bob, Comedy Central, ESPN, national commercials, and numerous live productions. My teaching philosophy is simple: kids learn best when they’re having fun, taking creative chances, and feeling confident enough to be themselves. I use acting, improv, voice over, storytelling, and podcasting to help young performers find their individual voices while building confidence, communication skills, and imagination. My classes are highly interactive, kids don’t spend the hour sitting and listening to me talk! We create characters, improvise scenes, work with scripts, tell stories, experiment behind the microphone. I bring my real-world entertainment experience into the classroom while keeping everything age-appropriate, supportive, fast-moving, and FUN. I’m also the creator and producer of 31 Triggers, an interactive book, podcast, and live-show series, and the Manhattan Monologue Slam, known as “Master Piece Theatre meets American Idol.” Creating these projects has reinforced something I bring to every class: everyone has a story worth telling and a unique way of telling it. My favorite moment as a teacher is watching a child who was initially hesitant suddenly jump into a scene, make a bold choice, and discover, “Hey!! I can do this!” Big Characters. Bold Voices.
