Hi! I'm Nikki Schaffer, a creative writer, outdoor educator, and audio producer, with an MFA in Creative Writing, and a graduate certificate from the Salt Institute For Documentary Studies. I enjoy teaching nature awareness, imaginative writing paired with visual art, and documentary audio storytelling. My teaching philosophy centers inspiring curiosity about the world, and I aim to help students explore their thoughts and ideas through experiential learning in a safe and supportive environment. Before teaching, I've worked as an art- based preschool teacher, an outdoor educator, and an independent writer and audio producer. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me by the water, reading a good book, or being at an art show.
