Hi! I'm Haleigh. I am an artist and educator passionate about teaching art to children in ways that honor their sense of wonder and excitement. I love working with kids because of their curiosity! Across drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry-making, and fabric arts, I’m a big believer in open-ended material experimentation, embracing mistakes and accidents, and resisting perfectionism. My classrooms are spaces of possibility, where experimentation and play guide discovery. As an artist, I work in painting and printmaking, and have shown my work in NYC and the Northeast. I hold an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University, and I’ve taught painting and printmaking college courses at Yale, Harvard, and Wesleyan, and through a teaching fellowship at Danbury Women’s Prison in Connecticut. I strive to make space for imagination, care, and critical making.
