Class Description
This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction to the art of knitting. Students will learn essential skills such as casting on stitches, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and binding off. With step-by-step guidance, young knitters will gain confidence while practicing these techniques on simple, creative projects. Along the way, students will enjoy a welcoming and social environment where they can share their progress and celebrate their creations. By the end of the course, each child will take home a handmade project they can feel proud of- building both skills and a love for fiber arts. Please note: A materials fee will be included.

I am an educator / artist. Helping young learners unlock hidden potential and untapped talent is the best part of teaching. I have taught in several schools working with students in Pre K all the way to high school. Using Art to connect to world events and other cross curriculum subjects is my goal. Some of our most famous Artists were mathematicians and scientists and I would love to teach students the important influence S.T.E.A.M can have on art.
