Hello! My name is Alexia, and teaching is my passion. A certified substitute teacher in the state of Ohio, I have been teaching PreK-12th grade for six years, both in rural Ohio and in NYC. Additionally, I'm a dance teacher specializing in beginning classical ballet, musical theater, jazz, tap, and modern genres. I strongly believe education should be interactive, relatable, and engaging. I also believe that good education is multidisciplinary, includes social-emotional learning techniques, and fosters creativity alongside technical skills. I take pride in my ability to create a safe environment for my students so that they feel comfortable while reaching their potential. Outside of class, I am a stage manager, dancer/actress, and events industry professional who enjoys hiking, writing, and cooking. I am a life-long learner with a growth mindset that I will always model in my classrooms. I look forward to meeting you and having fun learning in class! :)
