I’m Tommy Gunn — a self-taught maker, videographer, magician, culinary instructor, and AI-focused creative technologist who has spent the past 10 years teaching kids through hands-on creative learning. I love turning “How did they do that?” into “I made that myself!” While many students and schools first know me through my culinary classes, my background also spans creative technology, filmmaking, live entertainment, magic, media production, and hands-on STEM education. I enjoy helping students discover that creativity exists everywhere — whether they’re cooking a meal, building a circuit, filming a video, coding a game, performing a magic trick, or designing a project from scratch. With Togetherhood, I teach a wide range of creative, STEM, media, and maker-based classes designed to get students actively creating instead of just watching. My programs include YouTube and filmmaking classes, beginner coding and AI exploration, hands-on electronics and science projects, flight and design challenges, magic and illusion workshops, Scratch coding, creative technology classes, and other interactive maker experiences tailored to each school’s interests and age groups. My classes are energetic, structured, and highly hands-on. Whether students are filming videos, experimenting with AI tools, learning sleight of hand, building simple electronics, or creating something completely original, the focus is always on creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and building confidence through doing. I incorporate modern tools and emerging technologies in ways that are engaging, approachable, and age-appropriate, helping students explore storytelling, communication, design, coding, media literacy, and digital creativity in exciting new ways. Most importantly, I want students to leave my classes excited, curious, and confident in their ability to learn new things and create ideas they never thought possible.
