Hi! I'm Anna Falk, an artist, visual arts educator, and summa cum laude SCAD graduate with 5 years of experience. I take an accessible and interactive approach to teaching, bringing the excitement of creative expression directly from studio to student! My teaching methodology centers on the philosophy that art is a learnable skill rather than an intrinsic talent, with my job being to make the creative journey as accessible and engaging as possible. Through a conversational approach, I support each student as they discover and develop their own visual language, ensuring all are comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and expressing themselves. Outside of the classroom, I maintain my own artistic practice as a professional fine artist and painter. My work has been exhibited at galleries such as ARTS Southeast and the Maryland Federation of Art, and featured in newspapers, magazines, and periodicals such as the Capital Gazette and the Penn Journal of Arts and Sciences. I'm excited to bring my experience as a practicing artist into the classroom and help students find the same enjoyment and fulfillment in making art that I do.
