Creative Writing & Storytelling

New York City

  • I wrote and produced a play called "Sic Transit" in 2022!
  • I am a huge foodie and love trying new recipes.
  • My first publication was an op-ed I submitted to a local newspaper in high school.

I am a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary writer and educator from Macon, Georgia. A recent recipient of an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University, my main areas of creative work are poetry and nonfiction — often concerning themes of place, spirituality, food, and identity, and always informed by my experiences as a queer, first-generation Nigerian-American. When I'm not writing (which is rare), you can usually find me baking banana bread, reading poetry, or browsing Etsy for funky earrings.
