Class Description

This STEAM-centric workshop delves into the past to discover how indigenous people lived during autumn. After learning about harvest techniques, students will create a "pumpkin density jar." Things take an artsy turn with our second activity - painting a faux buffalo hide based on artwork by the Hopi and Sioux tribes. An educational and hands-on alternative to Thanksgiving turkey crafts, this workshop is intent on honoring nature and indigenous people.
