Game design, collaborative play, and daily living skills
New York City
- In high school I was in a band that recorded 5 albums
- I was a line cook for 9 years, from ages 14-23
- I run a community space and DIY venue from my apartment
Hi there! My name is Wally. I am a community organizer, game designer, bachelor level social worker, and full time nerd with over ten years of off and on experience in working with students. Most recently, I have graduated from the Silberman School of Social Work, where I focused my studies on therapeutically applied tabletop games, housing policy, and the intersection of community building and play among younger people. As a community organizer, my approach to all person centered work, from the class room to the clinic, prioritizes individual development and social cohesion. In this, I maintain a strong dedication to the individual needs of my students so that they can learn, play, and grow comfortable knowing that they can always ask for and expect respectful, individually tailored support whenever they need it. In my free time I enjoy playing Indie tabletop games (forever GM speaking), cooking, and playing music. I also have two beautiful cats named Lapis and Gio, with whom I reside in Bushwick.
