Class Description

Join us on a culinary adventure that takes students on a farm-to-table journey through the flavors of New York City. In this immersive class, students will explore diverse culinary traditions, learn cooking techniques, and discover how food connects culture, community, and sustainability. Through hands-on cooking projects, students will experiment with fresh ingredients while building kitchen confidence and practical skills. They’ll also learn about sourcing seasonal produce, urban farming, and the importance of making conscious food choices. Along the way, students will explore the cultural heritage behind dishes from around the world- celebrating the global flavors that make up NYC’s vibrant food scene. Please note: This class requires access to a space with tables, sinks, and basic cleaning supplies. A materials fee will be included.
