Juliet P.
Pencils, Curiosity and A Little Bit of Magic
Washington D.C
- My favorite children’s book is The Day the Crayons Quit, and my favorite drink is coffee.
- Some of my best friends are Alexa, Siri, Michaels, Ben & Jerry’s, Jessica Simpson, and Kate Spade. Some answer my questions, some provide emotional support, and some make sure I have something to wear.
- During my free time if Í am lucky to locate it (using my FindmyFreetime app) I hang out with my childhood best friends, draw and aprende español.
Juliet holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and a certification in Early Childhood Education. Before moving into education and the arts, she worked as a Data Analyst. She has experience working with Pre-K children and also teaches art to seniors at community centers. Juliet believes creativity is inside everyone and that sometimes all you need is a pencil, a little curiosity, and a some courage to see where it takes you. Her teaching style is warm, encouraging, and playful, with an emphasis on helping students feel comfortable experimenting, expressing themselves, and discovering their own creative voice. When she isn’t teaching, Juliet loves drawing, spending time with her family and childhood friends, and learning Spanish.
