Class Description

In this open-ended digital art class, students will explore the fundamentals of digital illustration using professional tools and accessible workflows. They’ll learn how to draw, paint, and design directly on computers or tablets- just like real illustrators and animators! This is not a rigid or overly structured class- students are encouraged to create whatever inspires them, from characters and creatures to worlds, comics, or visual stories. Along the way, they’ll build skills in layering, coloring, shading, sketching, and using digital brushes. The result is a supportive space where imagination drives the work, and students gain the techniques they need to bring their unique visions to life. Please note: This class requires access to tablets or computers with drawing software.
