Hi, I'm Megan, a professional performer and teaching artist with a Master's in Music and Music Education. I've spent 10 years performing professionally, and 6 years bringing music and drama to students of all ages, including bilingual classrooms and public schools. I've also taught preschool in a Montessori/Reggio Emilia-style school. Today I teach privately and lead enrichment classes at schools throughout New York City. I believe everyone is creative, and everyone deserves the chance to be creative. My classes are built around imagination, teamwork, respect, and early reading skills. To me, these are the ingredients of a great education and the foundation for raising kind, curious kids. What makes my approach unique is how it grows. We start with small, playful individual games and build, week by week, toward longer-form games that invite children to problem-solve, listen, and collaborate as a group. Every class is tailored to the students and classroom in front of me, so each child has a way in while their skills steadily grow. As a performer, I know the confidence and joy that come from creating something together. As a teacher, my favorite moments are watching a shy child find their voice or a group of kids realize they can solve a problem as a team. I bring warmth, patience, and plenty of laughter to every session, and I'd love to bring that to your school community.
