Hi, I’m Saloni Gupta, a creative arts instructor with a professional background in event planning, design, and creating engaging visual experiences. I’m especially passionate about bringing art and science together to help children discover that creativity and curiosity often go hand in hand. My teaching philosophy is centered around learning by doing. I believe children understand concepts best when they have the freedom to explore, experiment, ask questions, and create something of their own. In my classes, I aim to make learning exciting and approachable by turning scientific ideas into colorful, hands-on art experiences. Through Art Through Science, I love exploring questions such as: How do colors mix and change? How can we create patterns using nature? What happens when different materials interact? How can concepts like symmetry, light, texture, movement, and structure inspire an artwork? Each activity gives children an opportunity to observe, experiment, and then use what they discover to create. My background in designing experiences influences the way I teach—I want each class to feel like an adventure rather than simply following instructions. I encourage children to experiment, make unexpected discoveries, and develop their own ideas instead of worrying about creating a “perfect” result. Most of all, I love seeing that moment when a child asks, “Why did that happen?” and then gets excited about turning the answer into something creative. For me, Art Through Science is about nurturing both the young artist and the curious explorer in every child.
