Hi, I’m Chef Makenna! I’m a Brooklyn-based chef and cooking instructor with over a decade of experience in professional kitchens—and my favorite place to cook is with kids. I specialize in plant based, veggie-forward food and love helping young cooks discover how fun, colorful, and delicious vegetables can be. In my classes, students will chop, mix, taste, and explore where food comes from while learning basic kitchen skills and healthy habits. I focus on curiosity, confidence, and hands-on learning, making professional techniques approachable and age-appropriate. My goal is for kids to feel excited about vegetables, proud of what they make, and empowered to make nourishing choices—both in and out of the kitchen.
