I'm a technology and STEM instructor who loves helping students and adults understand how things work through experimenting with real-world applications. I've taught programming, robotics, web development, video production, animation, rocketry, archery, and other hands-on technology subjects to students and adults of varying ages and experience levels. I also have a cybersecurity background which combines formal training and introductory certifications (IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate and Microsoft's Career Essentials in Cybersecurity) with hands-on development and systems work. I run home-labs to gain experience with network and server security, Linux hardening, vulnerability analysis, secure software development, and cryptography. I also develop open-source networking and security software, including implementing modern TLS and cryptographic functionality for the TI-84+ CE that many students use in school. I enjoy taking concepts that can seem intimidating, such as computer science, algorithms, cybersecurity, and making them understandable through practical examples.
