Hebah Jihad is an Iraqi-born self-taught artist who has been living in New York City since 2006. Hebah employs a variety of artistic disciplines including oil painting, watercolor, bookmaking, and printmaking. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Studio Art from the City College of New York where she received the Joseph E. Barmack Award for best Undergraduate thesis in Psychology and first place in the Connor Merit Award for Undergraduate Studio Art. With a passion for the visual arts and medicine, her work explores human anatomy and psychological anxiety. Hebah's work has been showcased at Christie's, The City College of New York, Brooklyn College, and Macaulay Honors College. In addition to teaching art, Hebah also teaches math and science :)
