  • I participated in a theatre exchange program in high school that sent me to Kenya and Australia.
  • Before taking dance classes, I first taught myself basic dance technique after watching the competition show 'So You Think You Can Dance'
  • In undergra during a spring break trip to Haiti, I assisted in teaching basic with students who spoke Creole and French.

I am Marquis D. Gibson, an actor and writer based in the NYC area. I have served as a teaching artist at a summer camp in my hometown of Durham, NC and with an afterschool program in San Francisco. My work as an actor has been seen on regional stages across the country and on Broadway in Fat Ham. As a writer, I was a member of the Baldwin House Urban Writing Residency in fall 2021 and one of 10 playwrights chosen for the inaugural Say Gay Plays fundraiser in 2024.
