Adam Tarakhan is a multidisciplinary art educator and practicing artist and sculptor with expertise in painting, illustration, drawing, graphic design, and classical sculpture. He specializes in portraiture, perspective, and landscape, and brings a strong foundation in typography from his graphic design background. His sculpting work includes life-size realistic animals, created from metal wire and ceramics. Adam’s work is deeply influenced by classical art traditions such as Greek sculpture, Roman busts, and the Renaissance and Baroque periods—styles he has studied extensively and that are evident in his own creations. He also holds a strong appreciation for the expressive qualities of Impressionism. Additionally, he draws profound inspiration from nature and animals, particularly the movement of animals and the beauty found in natural landscapes like mountains, forests, rivers, and untouched waterways. Adam believes that the ability to visualize and create is a powerful skill that can translate across disciplines and empower students in many areas of life. As a passionate educator, he focuses on building strong foundational drawing and sculpting techniques while encouraging students to explore their own ideas and develop their personal artistic voice.
