Hi, I’m Samantha Diamond (she/her), a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) with a master’s degree in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University. I’m excited to share my background in dance and movement therapy with students of all ages. I began dancing at age 4, and it quickly became a source of comfort, confidence, and self-expression. Over time, dance has helped me manage stress, reconnect my mind and body, and embrace my authentic self. As someone who is open about my autism, I know how meaningful it can be to feel seen, supported, and encouraged in a learning environment. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that dance should be welcoming, empowering, and accessible to everyone. I create a warm, supportive space where students can explore movement in their own way, build confidence at their own pace, and discover the joy of expressing themselves through dance. I’m especially passionate about helping students feel comfortable, capable, and proud of what their bodies can do. What makes my approach unique is the combination of technical training, a therapeutic perspective, and lived experience that I bring to every class. I strive to meet each student with patience, creativity, and encouragement, and I’m grateful for the perspective my autism brings to my work as both a dancer and a teacher. When I am not in the classroom, I make jewelry, listen to music, take walks, and journal.
