My name is Sana Ali, and I am an artist based in Northern Virginia. I earned my degree from George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, where I focused on painting. I am also certified in nutrition and hold an associates degree in science. The opportunity to positively influence young minds is one of the ways I give back to my community. My teaching philosophy stems from eight years of experience working with elementary-aged students and has recently been further shaped by my ABA therapy work supporting nonverbal children with special needs. I have served as an instructor for various after-school programs and as a staff member with Fairfax County Public Schools. I believe every child learns differently, and I am committed to accommodating each child’s individual needs. I strive to be the kind of role model I needed as a child. It is important to me that every child feels safe, validated, and understood. I aim to foster a welcoming environment where children can express themselves and go home eager to share what they have learned with their parents. My goal is for children to leave feeling confident in their abilities, inspired to remain curious, and excited to continue learning.
