Nabarreus "Barre" Cross is a seasoned dancer and dedicated educator. Currently a graduate student at NYU for African Diasporic dance education. His journey began in 2005 with AG Voice of Harlem, where he danced for the creator of "No Music" and "Lite Feet," establishing himself as one of the original dancers of Lite Feet and Team Lite Feet, a collective of top-tier dancers in the city. Over the years, Nabarreus has evolved into a versatile dancer and educator, showcasing his skills in various styles. In 2012, Nabarreus founded and directed Project Morry's Dance Program, dedicated to serving the needs of inner-city youth in the tristate area. As a teaching artist in his community, he imparts dance technique, dance history (with a focus on the male dancer), and promotes self-love and body awareness. His experience includes roles as a site director for Wingspan Arts, contributions to the Brooklyn Music School, The Boys Club of New York, and mentoring for Project Morry's Summer Intensive program, Harlem Children’s Zone, Bronx Arts Ensemble, DMF-Youth, Misty Copeland Foundation- BEBOLD and New York City Ballet. Continuing his education at the Dance Theatre of Harlem School, Nabarreus excelled in American and classical ballet, earning the DTH Boys Scholarship, merit and scholarship awards, and participation in the DTH Dance Ensemble. His recent accomplishments span film and television, with notable appearances in True Crimes Investigating series, Spike Lee's Blackkklansman, The Deuce Season II, Sakshyam (an international Bollywood movie), and as a featured dancer for Alia Pierre; received acclaim as the winner of the "Rock Don't Stop" Hip Hop Film Festival award and was featured in Vogue China for Chi Zhang NYFW F/W '17. His most recent achievement includes a role as a dancer in the Brooklyn Academy of Music Dance Africa 2021 production.
