I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, and was 18 and still in the 9th grade after being pushed out of the public school system. Through the "Upward Bound, Double Discovery" Program at Teachers College at Columbia University, I earned my GED, was accepted to SUNY New Paltz College, and then transferred to UCLA as a junior to study film and theater production. I earned my Master's Degree in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Today, I currently reside in Cheltenham, PA, and help run a Saturday Academy at the Beckett Life Center and a Summer Camp called Camp Miracles for underprivileged youth at the Hope for Kids Camp site to teach them Social-Emotional Life Skills in a positive and trauma-sensitive setting that will never push anyone out, but let them in. My passion is in the Performing Arts, with a background in musical theater directing/producing, set design, graphic design, and filmmaking. I’m very passionate about College and Career Prep, Community Economic Development, and taking care of my family, which consists of my beautiful wife of 25 years, my son Max, who studies at St. Joe University on a $300,000 scholarship, and my firstborn Tiffany, who is a registered nurse at Jefferson Hospital - let’s not forget our 3-year-old Husky named Pocahontas! My life mission is to help those in need reach their full potential so that they can live their dreams, not their nightmares!
