My childhood in theater and film launched a passion for the storytelling arts. Starting in my teens as a stage manager, I learned the industry from the ground up whilst also pursuing my first college degree. While balancing work with studying advanced degrees, I earned multiple international accolades as a film director, spending a decade abroad in Vienna, London, Florence and Sydney. Now with over thirty years of international experience across the range of arts, and diving in and out of film, tv and theater on a parallel course, I have returned to teaching and instruction as a personal passion. I have a fifteen year tenure in Florence, Italy, where I lectured at a private academy whilst also pursuing my PhD; my academic studies of history and art history have run parallel with my writing career. My longest running original course is in adapting history into non fiction, or dramatized narrative fiction, screenplays and stage plays. I had an auxiliary decade of experience in art curating and interior design, co-running a design company as the artistic and conceptual lead. I have also been fortunate enough to turn my longest running hobby - tabletop and roleplay gaming - into a profession. I am a hired gun writer and concept generator for several major games studios. If you can play for work, you never get old. I continue to do improv and stand-up - mostly as free therapy. Curiosity and storytelling above all.
