Jordan Dennis multidiscipline coach Hello all, My name is Jordan Dennis and I have been an educator for about 20 years now. I have a variety of skills under my belt but my specialties are: Parkour, Swimming, Ninja Warrior, Art, and Reading Comprehension. I have a BA in Liberal Studies/English/Education. I am an experienced and certified instructor who has been working in child care since I was 15 years old–professionally– as well as when I was young for family reasons. I am Parkour certified through ADAPT up to level 2. I was Red Cross certified for swimming lessons. In high school, I attended Art Academy for 4 years. As for reading comprehension, I was apart of two teen library clubs/councils in two of my local cities from 13 years old until I graduated high school. My coaching methods are: “Work hard, play hard” because learning should be fun. I was raised on a ton of Magic School Bus and movies like The Karate Kid. So when I am teaching I like to be goofy and silly yet ensure my students are learning the fundamentals of concepts through interesting methods-–”Wax on, Wax off” drills if you will. My lessons are usually gamefied and a version of student centered learning. “Learning through play” is my favorite way to teach and I have found over the years one of the best methods to reach students who have ADHD.
