- I’m originally from Tajikistan, where “football” means soccer. During my exchange year in Iowa, I didn’t realize “football” meant the American version—so I signed up by mistake and ended up playing both soccer and American football back-to-back while finishing high school.
- When I teach Taekwondo, I like to incorporate basic Korean language lessons. Martial arts come from Korea, and I believe learning the language helps preserve its culture and deepens understanding. I’m fluent in Russian, Farsi (Persian and Tajik), and English, can read Arabic, and know basic Korean.
- I practice meditation and enjoy connecting with nature, finding inspiration and clarity in silence.
Hi, my name is Behruz, and I teach Taekwondo with a focus on poomsae (forms), self-defense, physical training, and overall fitness. I see martial arts as a discipline where movement, nature, and the principles of physics and science intersect. My teaching helps students explore that connection—building strength, precision, and self-awareness while deepening their understanding of how body and mind work together.
