Mel C.
Fashion, Art, and Design
New York City
- I specialized in knitwear during my undergraduate program!
- I have designed at some of the most popular fashion houses in New York City.
- My favorite color to design with is red.
I am a Bronx-based fashion designer, artist, and educator whose work reimagines fashion as a tool for collective care. Through upcycling, biomaterial innovation, and education-based community programs I aim to build alternatives to the fashion industrial complex that center skill-sharing, relationship-building, and sustainability. I debuted my thesis collection, Everything for Everybody, at the Brooklyn Museum during NYFW SS24. I am a Global Fashion Agenda Next Gen Assembly Member (’25), a Parsons MFA Fashion Design and Society alumna (’23), a Teen Vogue Generation Next designer (’23), and a CFDA Scholar (’22).
