I was born and raised in San Diego County. I loved singing and performing since I was a young child. I used to act out every role of my favorite musicals in front of my mirrored closet doors - getting lost in the joy for hours. I performed in high school musicals and plays. In college I majored in theater. Although I was cast in a few shows, I was never cast in a musical. I left college and went on the road with The New Christy Minstrels for a year.
