I am a Chess Instructor/Coach, chess book author, U.S.C.F. Original Life Master and National Master with more than 30 years chess teaching experience with children and adults of all ages and skill levels. I am also a competitive chess player having tied for first place in the New York Open Under 2200 Section in 1993 and many other first and second place results at chess tournaments including tied for second place the Senior Championship, November 2024, at the famous Marshall Chess Club in Manhattan. I have lectured at several locations in the New York City metropolitan area on my chess book “The Richter-Veresov Attack: Qd3 Variation,” and the chess concept “Zugzwang.” I have also performed numerous simultaneous chess exhibitions at libraries and street festivals in Brooklyn.
