Greetings, my name is Francesco Barone. I hold a Doctorate in Classical Guitar from the Hartt School of Music and am a certified Suzuki guitar instructor. I have over 20 years of teaching experience working with students of all ages from beginners to pre-professionals. My teaching philosophy centers on equipping students with the technique and musicianship as well as providing them with performance opportunities to foster a meaningful appreciation and love for music. Although I specialize in classical guitar, I am also comfortable teaching popular styles. My teaching is informed by my work as an active performer. I give performances in a variety of venues locally and abroad in solo and chamber settings.
