- I give haircuts to all my friends, when they need them.
I recently graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie and I just moved to Philadelphia this fall. I am originally from St. Louis, MO. I love my family, I am the middle child of an older sister and a younger brother. I have always been a creatively motivated person. As a kid I was always choreographing dances, writing plays, and doing performances for my family and neighbors. In high school I got into writing. I explored creative writing, storytelling/scriptwriting, and poetry. In college I integrated my love of performance arts, movement, and writing with my passion for social justice and education. I also had a minor in Spanish and studied in Spain for a semester. I believe that education is best when it comes from a critical and creative pedagogy; a methodology that embraces movement, the arts, multiculturalism, language, love, and joy. I plan to carry these values with me in the classroom as a teacher with Togetherhood!
