Endless possibilities! Rochelle Burnette Harley believes every child has the potential to become a thinker, inventor, problem-solver, and innovator. With extensive experience in engineering, education, and entrepreneurship, Rochelle brings real-world STEM applications into the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Hampton University and a Master of Education in Instructional and Digital Technology from the University of Maryland University College. Her teaching experience spans middle school through college, including developmental mathematics, algebra, geometry, statistics, and technology-integrated STEM instruction. Her STEM interests also include biology, chemistry, earth science, engineering, and hands-on scientific exploration. As a former middle school STEM instructor, college professor, and electrical engineer, she transforms challenging concepts into engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences. Rochelle has developed engineering and architecture learning opportunities, supported student STEM initiatives, and encouraged young learners to explore future careers through creativity, collaboration, and discovery. Beyond the classroom, Rochelle enjoys cooking, sewing, jewelry design, and creating personalized gifts using laser engraving and cutting technology. She connects these passions to STEM through chemistry, measurement, engineering design, and digital fabrication. Her mission is to make STEM exciting, accessible, and meaningful while inspiring students to believe: “I can imagine it, design it, build it, and make a difference!”
